Nearly 30-percent of the county’s kids in that age group have been at least partially vaccinated. Officials say that number is not enough to reach the goal of a 70-percent vaccination rate set by the state’s Department of Public Health. With schools reopening this fall, the county worries the vaccinations will not be enough to stay away from a surge effect.
